I broke my wrist playing softball and was unable to work for several weeks so I decide to do some traveling and visit some friends in Oregon. I apologize for the quality of the pictures they are slides transfered to digital format and they just don't do the pictures justice at all. But hopefully you'll get the idea of just how beatiful these places were.

Alcatraz with the Bay bridge to Oakland in the background.

Lake Shasta.

Sand dunes along the Oregon coast.

Bridge on Highway 1.

The paper mill on the Willamette river in Oregon. If I remember correctly they make the paper for our currency.

Crater lake and yes, it really is that blue.

A section of the Rogue river in Oregon.

Just a shot along the coast.

Ditto.

While waiting in line for the ferry through the San Juan Islands, we met this couple and ended up pooling our resources for a great dinner by the campfire that night. That's my Blazer and where my love affair with 4x4's began.

Comming into downtown Seattle. Yep, that's the Kingdome off to the left.

Looking up the Space Needle.

The Public Market on the wharf in Seattle. This place is worth the trip by itself.

Downtown Seattle was just full of nature, everywhere you looked there was water and trees.

One of the hundreds of rivers in this part of the country.

A sunset.

Ditto.

Can you tell I like sunsets?
